James Bran

James Bran is a fast-rising talent on the UK comedy circuit. Refreshingly different, whilst still appealing to main stream comedy audiences, he's bringing his quirky blend of stand-up and comic poetry to clubs all over the country. Despite being a relative newcomer to the comedy scene at large, James is a resident MC at both Crack Comedy and The Patchwork Club. This experience has made him a polished and confident performer belying his limited time as a circuit act: Some recent feedback from The Good Ship Comedy Club: "James played to our biggest house of the year and was on a bill with several award-winning comics. He didn't look out of place and possibly had the best gig of the night. His material is innovative, engaging, original and very funny and he has the calm, brave persona to match it. In less skilled hands his haikus, mic stand manipulation and oddball ideas could fall flat, but he carries them off with a great deal of confidence and top-rate ability. A hilarious and bold act that deserves to be seen by more people." Edinburgh Shows: James has recently beaten off stiff competition to win a place in Bound & Gagged Comedy's showcase 'AAA' at The Pleasance Edinburgh this August. This will be his third year at the Edinburgh Fringe, having previously performed in two 3-hander shows and one 45-minute solo show.
